I was selected to join MAP’s Summer Internship Program as part of the Design Team, where my personal project was to create an interactive activity book for children visiting the museum.
The aim was to make art and objects more engaging, playful and personal. Transforming the museum experience from simply looking to one of doing and discovering. The process involved in depth research, playful design exploration and plenty of user testing with the toughest yet most honest audience: kids!
The final outcome turned ideas into lively visuals that encourage curiosity and a sense of connection with the museum.

I began by studying MAP’s collection, brand identity and existing museum learning tools. The research focused on how a book could transform the museum space into something engaging and interactive. From this, I identified the key goal: to make the museum experience fun, hands on and personal for kids.

I engaged in a variety of activities to step into the shoes of children, gaining first hand experience that shaped how I designed and implemented the final activities.

Brainstormed playful formats such as puzzles, drawing prompts, bingo, spot the object and storytelling games. Alongside this, I defined the tone of voice keeping it friendly, simple and engaging to connect with kids.

Lots of test printing and reworking. Every small change made a difference and every paper choice and colour truly mattered.
